Which Nintendo Game Consoles do you have?

by xreart sales on Nov 17, 2022
Which Nintendo Game Consoles do you have?

Nintendo is a Japanese multinational video game company headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. It develops video games and video game consoles.

Nintendo was founded in 1889 as Nintendo Karuta by craftsman Fusajiro Yamauchi and originally produced handmade hanafuda playing cards. The company entered the video game industry in the late 1970s and launched the first generation of home game consoles, FC, in 1983.

Since then, Nintendo has produced some of the most successful consoles in the video game industry, such as the Game Boy, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the Nintendo DS, the Wii, and the Switch. Nintendo's mascot, Mario, is internationally recognized.

How many classic Nintendo game machines do you ever own?

Game Boy and Super Nintendo (1989-1995)

Nintendo released the Game Boy in 1989. In North America, the Game Boy was bundled with the popular third-party game Tetris after a difficult negotiation process with Elektronorgtechnica.

The Game Boy sold very well and is still one of the best-selling handheld game consoles, and 1989 was also the year of Nintendo's 100th year and the release of the "Super Nintendo", the offspring of the FC console.

Gameboy Color (1998-2003)

The Game Boy Color is a handheld game console, manufactured by Nintendo, which was released in Japan on October 21, 1998 and to international markets that November. It is the successor to the Game Boy and is part of the Game Boy product line.

The GBC features a color screen rather than monochrome, but it is not backlit. It is slightly thicker and taller and features a slightly smaller screen than the Game Boy Pocket, its immediate predecessor in the Game Boy line.

On March 23, 2003, the Game Boy Color was discontinued, shortly after the release of the Game Boy Advance SP. Its best-selling game is Pokémon Gold and Silver, which shipped 23 million units worldwide.

Game Boy Advance(2001-2008)

The Game Boy Advance is a 32-bit handheld game console developed, manufactured and marketed by Nintendo as the successor to the Game Boy Color. The original model does not have an illuminated screen; Nintendo addressed that with the release of a redesigned model with a frontlit screen, the Game Boy Advance SP, in 2003.

As of June 2010, 81.51 million units of the Game Boy Advance series have been sold worldwide. Its successor, the Nintendo DS, was released in November 2004 and is backward compatible with Game Boy Advance software.
